About
Dam Ditty Doo art connection (DDD) exists to encourage and provide a platform for youth in the areas of Dance, Theatre, Music, Singing and Art without regard to their nationality, age, religion or social circumstances.
Dam Ditty Doo art connection makes an important and valuable contribution towards furthering tolerance between different cultures by breaking down barriers and preventing prejudices from arising.
The aim of this initiative is to facilitate the growth of the youth according to their different talents and abilities and to introduce them to the world of visual and performing arts and ultimately making the programme self sustainable by creating a career for members of Dam Ditty Doo art connection.
DDD hosts Fundraising Events for non-profitable projects with the youth of Johannesburg. Two of our main events were the live performance "The Show" at the Alexander Theatre 2016, Johannesburg South Africa and the Self-Love” Exhibition 2017 at the Agog Gallery, Johannesburg.
Performances by Joburg Ballet, Nothende, Nomisupasta, Contortionist Lunga Buthlezi, Bambanani Brass Ensemble to name just a few. Partners such as Uber, VovoTelo, Who Got Skillz, Prohelvetia and Basa have supported us in these endeavours.
Director of DDD South Africa Ginger Wensky has created a proudly South African dance theatre show called "Water" which had its debut at the Cairo International Theatre Festival in Egypt 2024 and made it to the top of the Best Performance category. In 2025 she created a 2.0 version of the already existing show "The Colour of Water" which was presented for a full month at the Assembly Music Hall at the famous Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2025. A handful of the artists have been supporting DDD for many years without them this would have been impossible. Our mission is artists for artists. We support and teach each other, old generation and new, together we are strong.
